April...is charity run month!

The Japanese online running community (RUNNET) is calling out to runners to make the month of April charity run month!

How it works
Individuals choose an amount to donate for every mile/kilometer they run (e.g. 1 mile=$1.00). Individuals will then donate the money to an organization of one's choice- an organization collecting Japanese relief funds.

Charity runners will wear something RED. It can be anything- T-shirt, shoes, wristband, hat...whatever you choose! This is just a way to represent Japan. Not only is red the color of the Japanese national flag, it is a color representing passion, positive energy, and spirit. For those who may not like the color red...maybe you can just dress up in your own neat way to represent Japan!

So for the month of April, I will be donating 100 yen for every km I run!
Even if you don't live in Japan, please run for Japan!!! Anyone can participate!

Also, please know you don't have to donate your monthly mileage...but even one run for Japan will matter! Let's all send positive energy to Northeast Japan! Of course, simple donations without running are always welcome :)

Peace & Love from Tokyo!

Online donations can be made through my firstgiving and justgiving pages.
